Caribbean Star
Instructor | Gyleen X Fitzgerald |
The view, the Caribbean is all about the view. The water and sky drinks every shade of blue. The daily attitude is relaxed with a hint of breeze. That”s the feeling I wanted in Caribbean Star 2. How do you see it? |

Rocks, Pebbles, Stones, Oh My!
Instructor | Ana Buzzalino |
Ever since I was a small child, I’ve loved rocks, pebbles and stones. My dad would say that it was difficult to go for a walk with me because I would stop every two steps to look at some-thing on the ground. Even now, I cannot resist going by a rock without wondering if I should keep it. |

It was natural to me to find a way to incorporate these shapes into my work. Join me in this 3-hour live-stream online workshop to make rocks, pebbles and stones and learn two different techniques to incorporate them into your art pieces. The workshop is all done by hand; no sewing machine required. The kit for Rocks, Pebbles & Stones, Oh my! includes everything you need for the class: my hand-dyed fabrics for background and rocks, batting samples, template plastic, hoop, threads and needle. Choice of background fabrics. A basic supply list will be provided. Non-machine. |
Sunny Side Up
Instructor | Gyleen X Fitzgerald |
A field of sunflowers just makes you happy. Recreate your favorite sunflowers or imagine electric new varieties. Sunny Side Up cleverly uses two sizes of kite polygon cut from 3” and 5½” strips. You will learn how to construct a perfect “Crisscross” and “Butterfly Seam” for effortless stitching. It’s so easy you’ll fall in love. |

Tropical Flora
Instructor | Pat Delaney |
Come play with me! Our cruise project is a wall hanging using a beautiful tropical fabric. We will use a technique with watercolor pencils and stitching to create “shadow images” continuing the design into the solid fabric. Once the image is in place we’ll layer the quilt and use free motion stitching and color to finish up. You will end up with a quilt that can be-come a wall hanging or pillow and have a permanent memory of a fantastic vacation. |

Island Style Paintsticks on Fabric
Instructor | Ana Buzzalino |
In this class, you will explore ways in which to use Paintstiks to embellish fabric and create personal prints. You can paint, stencil, and rub with them. Paintstiks are easy to use as they are creamy and thick. |
![]() |
You will spend some time making rubbing plates to use during the class. Different ideas to use the Paintstiks will be shown. Beware: it’s addictive! A kit containing supplies needed to make rubbing plates will be additional. The kit will also include Paintstiks, fabric, and different textures.

Channeling MC Esher
Instructor | Gyleen X Fitzgerald |
The stack of bricks is an illusion of impossible objects. Do you see open bricks, or single dimensional rectangles cutting through each other? I can see both and this is why I love the work of MC Escher. Learn to recreate or create an original impossible objects wall hanging. Like Escher, no mathematical experience is needed. All you need is the willingness to see the world from a different perspective. |

Class notes: Holding a quilt seminar on a cruise ship is a unique experience. Sometimes there are space and time challenges that prevent our being able to be “project oriented” and we must concentrate more on process. It is very unlikely that you will have an absolutely finished project at the end of a class. It is helpful if your expectations match these realities. But regardless of how far you are able to progress, our instructors are professionals—some of the best in the quilting world—and we know you will learn many new techniques and have a wonderful experience!
