Dear quilters and friends,
Join Internationally known quilt teacher, Karen Combs, for a Quilt Explorations exclusive cruise visiting Europe's famed Christmas Markets!
We will begin our adventure in the beautiful city of Budapest. Experience timeless holiday traditions and elegant pageantry in four countries—Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Germany. Let iconic capital cities – Budapest and Vienna – decked in holiday finery with glittering Christmas trees illuminated by thousands of lights, bells pealing from cathedral towers and children dressed as angels singing Christmas carols, dazzle you.
Wander the stalls of Europe's most traditional and enchanting Christmas Markets, shopping for handcrafted toys and gifts, sipping hot mulled wine and inhaling the fragrance of gingerbread and roasted chestnuts. Cherish all the glory and magic of the season in grand European style as you cruise along the Danube during this festive time of the year. In every Christmas market you visit, you'll be tempted by a wonderful feast of tasty treats, as well as dozens of stalls brimming with unique and inspiring handcrafted gifts.
Please join us as we experience Europe's fairy tale villages and sparkling cities which provide the ideal backdrop for the holiday season. You will enjoy an extensive lineup of included tours! Choose from standard tours, bike tours, hikes and special interest tours. We will even have our own private tours, so we can explore the quilting traditions of this area of Europe! You will also have the option to begin your tour with 2 nights in Budapest or end your tour with 3 nights in Prague. These optional packages include hotel, transfers, daily breakfast and a city tour!
Bring, your spouse, family and friends for a holiday treat. There is something for everyone on this river cruise.
This is not your typical Quilt Seminar at Sea, but instead an exclusive and inclusive look into the Holiday markets of Hungary, Slovakia, Austria and Germany. Bring a hand-work item from home if you would like something to work on during our SEWcial time, but there will be no classes along the way. You will be included in lectures, tours, SEWcial opportunities, special meals, and get-togethers!
Best wishes and hope to see you soon,
Amy Ross and Kim Hedges
